Our unpowered sites offer a serene and natural setting, perfect for tents and camper trailers, nestled among the trees to provide shade and tranquillity.

Frequently Asked Questions
When I can check in?
Check-in time is between 11 am – 5 pm. Check in after this time may be made by prior arrangement. No set up is allowed after 8.30 pm. Disturbance of other campers must be considered.
What is in the camper’s kitchen?
In the Campers Kitchens there is a kettle, gas top cookers, BBQ, toaster, microwave, fridges, television, a washing up area and plenty of bench space. You must supply you own utensils, washing up liquid, cloths and tea towels.
Do we cater for “Schoolies”?
No, historic experience has ruled out “schoolies”, due to irresponsible behaviour.
Is my preferred site guaranteed?
Unfortunately not. We reserve the right to alter site numbers based on the condition of maintenance and unforeseen circumstances. You may also be allocated a different site, should your group numbers be less then when you booked.
Can I have a camp fire?
Yes, from April to November. You can bring your own, hire a pit or enjoy the company of others around one of our two communal fire pits. We also have fire wood for sale from the office. Between December – March, no fires are permitted at Big Valley campsite.
Do we have cabin, chalets or on site caravans for hire?
No, however there is the option of hiring from a local company, Margaret River Caravan Hire.
Are the showers hot?
Yes, the best 24/7 gas hot showers are provided.
Is there a laundry on site?
Yes. Washing machines and dryers are located in both of our camp sheds. Clothes lines are provided at the back of camp sheds. Washing powder and change is available from the office.
Is there a “Dump point” on site?
Yes, however if you are not a camper at Big Valley campsite, you will be asked to pay a fee of $5.
Do we need to pay a deposit?
Yes. One night deposit on all bookings is required to secure reservations. For Christmas/Easter/ long weekends, the balance must be paid 30 days prior to arrival date.
Does Big Valley give refunds?
A cancellation with more than 14 days notice from the arrival date will result in a one night tariff cancellation fee being charged or booking can deferred to another date (money held in credit). If less than 14 days notice is given, the full tariff will be forfeited. Cancellations must be made in writing by email. No refunds on early departures. If transferring cancellation booking to a future booking date, the booking date can only be changed once. If the second booking cannot be kept, the whole deposit will be lost. Any deferred dates must be with 12 months of the original booking date. We will attempt flexibility as much as possible.
Can I bring a push bike?
Yes, push bikes are allowed under parental supervision. Helmets & shoes are required to be worn.
Can we have visitors to our campsite?
Yes, visitors are welcome however they must sign in at the office prior to visiting. All visitors should leave the campsite by 6pm, otherwise full camp fees apply.
Do you provide a concrete slab for Caravans?
No, all sites are free form therefore choose which way you face your outdoor area to cater to seasonal changes and wind.
Can I bring a large motor home and/or bus?
Yes! There is no limit to size, however we need to know in advance so we can allocate a suitable site.
Do you have phone signal?
Yes, Telstra 3G are okay in some areas of the campsite but no others phone services.
Do we have TV Reception?
Yes there are three TV channels available. (GWN, ABC, WIN)
If you wish to use your satellite dish, please advise us while you are booking in to ensure satellite coverage.
Can we connect to water?
Yes, there is water to all of the powered and unpowered sites.
Can I bring my own generator?
No, we do not allow generators at Big Valley campsite.
